ARCO Design/Build is offering a Construction Design/Build Project Manager Intern/Co‑op position in Louisville. You’ll gain exposure to the full lifecycle of projects and work alongside experienced professionals invested in your growth.

Expect to attend design meetings, assist with scheduling, reporting, and buyout, and participate in training and site observations. Qualified students must be enrolled in an accredited civil/ME/architectural/construction management program, hold a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program (other related engineering majors will be considered)
• Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Previous Co-op or Intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of a project while working alongside experienced professionals
• Attend design meetings with the owner and design team, including structural engineers and architects
• Assist in scheduling timelines for subcontractors/trades activities
• Prepare weekly reports, document progress, and track meeting action items
• Shadow project calls and site meetings to observe how Design/Build Managers lead
• Assist with buyout, bidding instructions, and subcontractor communications
• Learn permitting processes and submittal reviews to ensure compliance
• Gain exposure to billing concepts like subcontracts, change orders, and pay applications
• Visit job sites with DBMs to monitor progress
• Participate in training and learning sessions and business development activities
