Job summary

Janotta & Herner, a northern Ohio design/build contractor, seeks a Design‑Build Construction Project Manager to lead projects from design through construction. You will coordinate clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires 2–7 years in design‑build construction, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Project, Bluebeam and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2–7 years in project management for design‑build construction.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (Excel, Bluebeam, OST, MS Project).
• Knowledge of building codes, construction processes and design‑build methodologies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Direct client communication and relationship management to meet expectations.
• Plan and coordinate project requirements with stakeholders.
• Lead ongoing coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules and quality ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams including architects and engineers.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors; review bids and contracts.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance on site and in documentation.
• Mitigate project risks and resolve issues affecting scope and timeline.
