Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Design/Build Manager in Columbus, OH to lead project performance from day one. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, quality control, design review, cost reporting, and safety while coordinating with owners and the design team to deliver value-engineered solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years of construction management experience, strong decision-making skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of construction management experience as a Project Engineer, APM, or Project Manager.
• Ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Ability to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
• Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making improvements.
• Act with integrity in line with company values and expectations.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage both managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure accurate and complete project estimates.
• Collaborate with owners and design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas.
• Oversee buyout process and subcontractor selection.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
