Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Design/Build Manager to lead project performance and profitability from day one. You will manage estimating, scheduling, design coordination and subcontractor buyout while coordinating with owners and the design team.

The ideal candidate has a BS in a construction-related field and 2–5 years of design/build experience in vertical commercial construction, with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• 2-5 years' design/build construction experience with a general contractor preferred.
• Vertical commercial construction experience.
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation.
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate.
• Collaborate with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings.
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, discuss cost saving ideas and value engineering.
• Oversee buyout process and selection of subcontractors.
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site.
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve results.
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes.
• Incorporate customer input to improve processes and meet client expectations.
• Demonstrate integrity and uphold company values in all interactions.
