ARCO Companies in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Design/Build Manager to lead project performance from day one. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, design coordination, and subcontractor buyouts, working closely with owners and the design team to deliver value and quality.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction/Engineering/Architecture with a 3.0 GPA
• 1-5 years design/build construction experience
• Vertical commercial construction experience
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

• Manage managerial and administrative aspects of a project, including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in proposal meetings to review scope, reduce costs, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site
• Make sound decisions under tight deadlines
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Incorporate customer input to meet or exceed expectations
• Demonstrate integrity and alignment with company values and client requirements
