Job summary

ARCO Design/Build, Inc. seeks a Design/Build Manager in Raleigh, NC to lead project performance and ensure profitability from day one. You will oversee estimating, scheduling, design coordination, and subcontractor buyout, while guiding a team and coordinating with owners and design teams.

This role emphasizes integrity, hands-on leadership, and a commitment to quality. You will manage multiple activities, drive value engineering, and supervise meetings with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil, Mechanical, or Engineering related and/or Construction Management; with minimum of 3.0 GPA
• 1-3+ years' of hands-on construction experience as a project manager, assistant project manager, field engineer or related internships.
• Commercial construction experience is preferred
• Computer skills: proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of a project including estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
• Ensure an accurate and complete project estimate
• Work closely with owners and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings
• Participate in the proposal meeting with the owner to review scope, discuss cost reductions, and provide value engineering ideas
• Oversee the buyout process and selection of subcontractors
• Conduct bi-weekly job site meetings on site
• Prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines to 100% completion
• Communicate openly with leadership, train coops/interns
• Demonstrate personal responsibility and sound decisions
• Organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to achieve results
• Commit to quality by evaluating project-related processes
• Make necessary changes using customer input to meet expectations
