Role Description

The Design Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater St. Louis area, with a mix of in-person work and some tasks that can be completed from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with customers in their homes or in the showroom to understand their needs, presenting flooring options and design concepts, and guiding them through product selection. The Design Associate collaborates with the installation and sales teams to plan projects, prepare basic design layouts or presentations, and ensure that project details are clearly communicated and documented. Additional tasks may include creating simple graphics or visual aids, maintaining product knowledge, following up with customers, and supporting project coordination to help deliver a smooth and professional service experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including active listening and clear, professional customer interaction.
• Project Management abilities to coordinate timelines, track details, and support successful flooring installations.
• Interior Design knowledge helpful but not required
• to recommend flooring solutions that align with aesthetics, function, and space planning.
• Company vehicle provided (mobile showroom)
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Basic proficiency with design or presentation software and standard office applications.
• Previous experience in flooring, home improvement, interior design, or a customer-facing sales role is beneficial.
