Job summary

Axis is seeking a Derrick Hand to join a 4–5-person workover rig crew. The role involves rigging up/down, performing elevated work on the derrick, and supporting other rig operations on the wellsite.

Requires a High School diploma, a valid driver license (CDL preferred), 1 year derrick hand experience and 2 years workover rig floor experience; English communication and ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 14/7 rotation with travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state-issued driver license; CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Derrick Hand experience; at least 2 years of workover rig floor experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work a rotational field schedule and travel as needed.
• Must comply with PPE, safety and customer-site requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.
• Perform elevated work on the derrick, including tubing board and rod basket.
• Support routine maintenance on derrick structures or components and other rig duties as directed.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues to supervisor.
• May drive the crew truck and work shifts as required.
