Job summary

Ameren Corporation is seeking an engineer to design, implement, and maintain a Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS). The role collaborates across Digital and Operations to orchestrate DERs and their grid connection using a hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture.

Candidates should have a engineering/CS background, 3+ years in grid solutions, and experience with distribution systems, GIS, SCADA, and databases. Hybrid work model combines on-site and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics or computer science is required.
• 3+ years of directly related experience for Grid Solutions Engineer.
• Experience with Electric Power Distribution systems and related applications is preferred.
• Experience with software development, databases and infrastructure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test a DERMS across a hybrid cloud/on-premise architecture.
• Support system implementation and environment setup across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with internal units and vendors to implement DERMS use cases for grid optimization.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
• Ensure high system availability and monitor performance.
