Job summary

Skin and Cancer Institute is seeking a patient care coordinator to join our on-site team in Bishop, CA. You will manage front desk operations, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and support clinicians with administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, HIPAA awareness, and familiarity with EMA and Lightspeed. 1–2 years in a medical office is preferred; high school diploma required. This is a part-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• Experience with medical insurance billing and documentation preferred.
• Proficiency in EMA and Lightspeed software.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients professionally and check in/out per standards.
• Schedule, confirm, and adjust appointments.
• Verify primary/secondary insurance and collect information.
• Process co-pays, co-insurance, and payments; reconcile daily totals.
• Maintain clean, organized reception and accurate patient records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and end-of-day documentation.
