Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology teams across Lake Mary, Orlando, and Winter Park locations. The MA will room patients, assist with scribing, wound care, venipuncture, and instrumenting procedures to ensure efficient visits.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience, CMA certification, and willingness to travel across multiple clinics; Forefront Derm Tech certification may be required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must possess organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work well both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as surgical photographs, biopsies, excisions, electrodessication and curettage, I&D, Mohs surgery, phototherapy, injections, Koh preps, trichograms, Tzank preps, dermabrasion, patch testing, and blue light.
