Golden State Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant in Modesto, CA. This full-time role collaborates with providers to guide patients through treatments and procedures in a busy dermatology clinic.

Responsibilities include exam room prep, patient history review, documentation in EMA, scheduling tests, assisting with Mohs and cosmetic procedures, front-desk support, and maintaining records for pathology and autoclave activities. Emphasis on patient comfort and service.

Competenze

• Dermatology/healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO).
• Familiarity with EMA or other EMR systems like EClinicalWorks.

Mansioni

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms and stock equipment.
• Review patient history and document visit details in EMA/EHR.
• Ensure MIPS data is accurately completed in the medical record.
• Schedule patient tests and treatments.
• Assist providers during dermatology procedures, including Mohs surgery.
• Support front desk with calls and appointment scheduling.
• Maintain sterilization records and autoclave testing.
• Check medication expiry dates and update pathology logs.
• Process prescription refills per procedures and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Multitask to ensure timely completion of all duties.
