Golden State Dermatology in Lodi, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time, on-site role. You will work 3 days per week, 7:30am-4:30pm, supporting providers with patient care, room prep, and procedure assistance in a dermatology setting.

The role involves patient education, EMR documentation, scheduling, and coordination of tests and treatments, along with light front-d desk support and instrument sterilization. Prior dermatology exposure is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Dermatology/healthcare experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with EMR systems such as EMA or EClinicalWorks is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications and procedures in EMA notes.
• Ensure MIPS information is completed in the medical record.
• Assist scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Assist dermatology providers during surgical procedures (exisions, Mohs, cosmetic procedures).
• Support front desk by answering phones and scheduling patients.
• Clean and perform spore testing on the autoclave and maintain records.
• Check medication expiration dates and manage biopsy logs.
