Job summary

Golden State Dermatology is a physician-led dermatology group expanding across California. We seek a Medical Assistant to partner with providers and guide patients through their treatment journeys.

You will prepare exam rooms, review histories, assist with Mohs and cosmetic procedures, and support scheduling and front-desk tasks. You will work with compassionate clinicians, ensure accurate medical records, and manage back-office duties while maintaining sterile environments and patient

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset or patient-centered approach required or helpful.
• Dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with EMR software such as EClinicalWorks or EMA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Review patient history, visit reason, medications, and ensure patient understanding of procedures; document in EMA.
• Assist dermatology providers during Mohs and cosmetic procedures.
• Support front desk with phone calls, scheduling, and triage after back-office duties.
• Maintain autoclave logs, sterilization, and spore testing per schedule.
