Job summary

Dermatology Specialists, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a fast-paced dermatology practice across multiple Southern California locations.

You will greet patients, collect specimens, document histories, and prepare exam rooms, while assisting with dermatologic procedures and cosmetic services. The role requires strong customer service, empathy, teamwork, and meticulous documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred.
• Dermatology experience and Mohs exposure a plus.
• Ability to handle specimens and equipment prep with compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide patients to exam rooms.
• Prepare, collect, and label lab specimens.
• Document patient histories and exam findings.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain sanitation.
• Return patient calls and respond to questions as directed.
• Provide post-care instructions per provider guidance.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Support dermatologic procedures (skin tags, biopsies, excisions, peels).
• Assist with Botox and laser procedures as needed.
