DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. The role includes verifying patient information, recording medical history, and escorting patients to exam rooms.

Responsibilities encompass entering data into the EMR, assisting physicians, ordering tests, and coordinating procedures. The position requires HIPAA knowledge and a patient-focused, team-driven approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Prior experience in medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR (preferred).
• Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history and visit purpose.
• Enter medical history and visit data into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination.
• Assist during medical examinations and procedures.
• Record, relay, and manage prescriptions as directed.
• Schedule procedures and manage patient communications.
• Maintain sterile instruments and manage supplies.
• Triage calls and notify patients of results.
