Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. You will verify patient information, document medical history, escort patients to exam rooms, and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

The role includes entering data into EHR, preparing patients for visits, assisting with phlebotomy, scheduling procedures, and providing post-visit instructions. Some offices may require travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient privacy.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management/physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history and confirming purpose of visit.
• Enter medical history and visit information into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam room and prepare them for the physician.
• Take pertinent medical questions and data entry into EHR.
• Prepare patient for exam with drapes and materials.
