DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and patient care. You will verify patient information, document medical histories in the EHR, accompany patients to exam rooms, and assist physicians during exams and procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior medical office experience, and knowledge of HIPAA. Travel may be required for some offices within the network; training and a collaborative team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is expected.
• Some offices may require travel.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient and confirming visit purpose.
• Enter medical history and visit details into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam room and prepare them for the physician.
• Take and document medical data, schedule procedures and triage calls.
• Assist physician during examinations and procedures.
• Transmit prescriptions to pharmacies and coordinate with labs.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; ensure sterilization protocols.
• Perform nurse visits, injections and phlebotomy as needed.
• Document results and notify patients of pathology or lab findings.
