DOCS Dermatology Group is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision. You will enter medical histories into the EHR, assist physicians during examinations, and help with lab specimen handling and phlebotomy as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, medical office experience, and familiarity with HIPAA. Travel may be required at some offices within the network; strong teamwork and patient-service orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy principles.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and management to deliver quality patient care.
• Proactive and self-driven with a strong customer service focus.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and collect medical history.
• Enter data into EHR and prepare patients for examination.
• Assist physician during exams and procedures.
• Communicate prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Instruct patients on medication usage and post-visit care.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies.
• Maintain a safe and compliant clinical environment.
