Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients across our dermatology centers. You will collect patient histories, enter data into EHR, assist during examinations, and help with procedures and med administration.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior medical office experience, and familiarity with EMR systems. Travel within the network may be required; strong patient service and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and service standards.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and EMR systems is important.
• Some offices may require travel within Docs Dermatology Group network.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and confirming purpose of visit.
• Enter medical history and visit data into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and perform suture removals.
• Take and prepare lab specimens for transport.
• Manage phone triage and coordinate scheduling for procedures.
• Maintain sterile instruments and stock supplies.
