Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient care, clinical tasks, and administrative duties in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Responsibilities include patient history intake, EHR data entry, room preparation, and assisting during exams and procedures. Travel may be required at some offices. A High School diploma and prior medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; medical office experience preferred.
• Ability to learn center tasks and assist management and physicians.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Familiarity with ModMed EMA EMR preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge required or preferred.
• Some offices may require travel.
• Team player and collaborative mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.
• Enter medical history and visit information into EHR.
• Escort patients to exam room and prepare them for the physician visit.
• Take pertinent medical data and document in the EHR.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during examinations and procedures.
• Send prescriptions to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Instruct patients on medication usage.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain supplies.
