Job summary

Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking a General Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers and deliver high-quality medical care. You will greet patients, gather intake information, prepare exam rooms and assist in surgeries, biopsies, and other procedures with patient-scribe duties as needed.

The role requires certification (CMA/AAMA/RMA/CCMA or EMT), a high school diploma, and at least one year of MA experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical/vocational training program with CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification or EMT certification; plus a high school diploma and one year of Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Providers/Reps/Coordinators/Managers in support of delivering expert medical care to our patients.
• Direct interaction with patients (Greeting/Collecting intake info/Setting up Exam Rooms, Assisting in surgeries and biopsies and other medical procedures, scribing throughout the entire patient visit).
• Other Day-to-day tasks include fax correspondence, answering patient messages, stocking rooms, filling syringes, sterilizing instruments etc.
