Job summary

Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking a General Dermatology Medical Assistant to support providers, greet patients, and prepare exam rooms. Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries/biopsies, scribing, and handling day-to-day tasks such as messages, faxing, stocking, and sterilization.

Ideal candidates have CMA/AAMA/RMA/CCMA certification, a high school diploma, BLS CPR, and experience in a high-volume setting. Flexible scheduling Monday–Thursday 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification preferred
• Medical Assistant experience in a high-volume medical setting
• Scheduling flexibility to work morning/afternoon four days per week
• Strong patient care and customer service principles
• Positive and energetic attitude and teamwork
• Proficient in EMR/EHR and Microsoft Office tools
• Scribe for provider in room and assist in procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers/Reps/Coordinators/Managers in delivering expert medical care
• Direct interaction with patients (greeting, intake, setting up exam rooms, assisting in surgeries and biopsies, scribing)
• Handle fax correspondence, patient messages, stock rooms, syringes, and sterilization of instruments
• Assist in surgeries and various medical procedures
• Support mission of state-of-the-art expertise and patient care
