Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general clinical support under supervision. You will help with patient intake, history collection, EHR data entry, and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.

The role includes wound care, phlebotomy, medication administration, scheduling, and triage, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA law and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information by interviewing patients and confirming visit purpose.
• Enter medical history and visit details into the EHR system.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Handle prescriptions with phone calls to pharmacies and schedule procedures.
• Change wound dressings and perform in-office phlebotomy.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain exam room readiness.
• Document nurse visits and administer medications as ordered.
