Job summary

Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Myrtle Beach team to support physicians and staff in delivering high-quality dermatology care. The role includes direct patient interaction, exam room setup, and coordination of day-to-day tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Ideal candidates hold CMA/AAMA/RMA/CCMA or EMT certification, BLS CPR, and EMR/EHR experience, with strong organization and a positive, energetic attitude.

Qualifications

• Completion of a technical/vocational training program with CMA, AAMA, RMA or CCMA certification.
• EMT certification and high school diploma preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience in a high-volume medical setting with medical terminology.
• Flexible schedule: mornings/afternoons/evenings four to five days per week.
• Excellent patient care and customer service principles.
• Positive, energetic attitude and ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Proficient with EMR/EHR and Microsoft Word/Outlook.
• Scribe/document for physician in the room.

Responsibilities

• Assist Doctors/Nurses/Coordinators/Managers in delivering medical care.
• Direct interaction with patients: greet, collect intake, set up exam rooms, phone calls.
• Fax handling, point-of-care testing, and preparation/assistance for procedures.
• Deliver our mission of providing state-of-the-art patient care.
