Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is hiring a Medical Assistant to support dermatologists during visits and help maintain a friendly, efficient patient environment. You will room patients, assist with diagnostics and procedures, and manage room readiness and documentation.

Ideal candidates have CMA or equivalent, EMR proficiency, and strong teamwork. Some travel to other clinic locations may be required; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant, DERM Tech a plus.
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Must possess organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information.
• Scribing information for the dermatologist.
• Providing post op wound care to patients.
• Drawing blood and suture removal.
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms.
• Scheduling patient appointments.
• Assisting the dermatologist with procedures such as: Surgical photographs, Biopsies - punch, DIF and shave, Exscisions, Electrodessication and curettage, I&D, Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery, Phototherapy, Injections, Koh preps, Trichograms, Tzank preps, Dermabrasion, Patch testing, Blue light.
