Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare exam rooms, document patient histories, and assist with procedures while delivering compassionate care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, Medical Assistant training, 2–3 years of medical office experience; certification is preferred but not required. EMR proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ,High School Diploma or GED required.
• ,Medical Assistant training is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
