Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced dermatology clinic in Frisco, TX. You will prepare patients, document histories, and assist with biopsies and cosmetic procedures.

You will enter medical histories, assist with scribing, prepare specimens and help maintain exam rooms. Dermatology experience is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant training required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist physician/provider in the room by scribing notes in the patient record.
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, suture removals and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow-ups.
• Daily cleaning and stocking of exam rooms; maintain organization.
• Assist with back-office duties as assigned.
