Job summary

QualDerm Partners LLC seeks a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join The Skin Surgery Center in Hickory, NC on an as-needed basis. You will support providers, prepare patients, and help manage the clinic efficiently.

Ideal candidates are organized, compassionate, with experience in medical settings and familiarity with dermatology terms. Proficiency with EHR and strong communication are essential, plus strict patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; MA certification preferred.
• Prior MA or clinical experience desirable.
• Understanding of medical terminology, especially dermatology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive data.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with EHR and basic office applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic lab tests and handle specimens.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.
