Zusammenfassung

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our Hickory, NC team on an as-needed basis. You will support providers, record patient histories, prepare exam rooms, and help with basic lab tasks to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (MA certification preferred), strong communication, and a solid understanding of dermatology terminology. EHR proficiency and compassion are essential for delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of dermatology terminology.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office applications.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and procedure rooms.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and handle specimens for analysis.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and office communications.
• Educate patients about treatments, medications, and skincare.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.
