Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will prepare exam rooms, document histories, assist with biopsies and cosmetic procedures, and manage specimens and follow-up scheduling.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assistant training, and 2–3 years of medical office experience. Certification is preferred but not required; dermatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Dermatology and cosmetic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patients medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
