Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will escort patients, document histories, assist with biopsies, and help maintain clean, organized exam rooms while delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include recording histories, scribing notes, assisting with biopsies, and coordinating follow-up visits. Experience in dermatology and EMA is highly valued; high school diploma and MA training required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.
• Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology and Mohs experience is highly preferred.
• Prior experience using EMA is a HUGE PLUS!
• Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Teamwork.
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
• Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
• Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
• Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
• Other duties as assigned to the back office.
