Anesthesia experience required.
General knowledge of instruments and supplies.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

Proficiency in proper animal restraint.
Draw blood and place catheters (jugular and femoral catheterization required).
Laboratory procedures and proper blood and specimen handling, urinalysis.
Familiar with radiographic technique and positioning.
Administer intravenous drugs and anesthesia, including anesthesia machine basics.
Monitor all patients and identify medical emergencies.
Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterile instrument handling.
Assist in surgery when required by the veterinary doctor.
Maintain cleanliness in kennels and surgery areas; stock as needed.
Controlled drug log recording and inventory management.
Client communication and education.
