Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in West Islip, NY is seeking an Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will provide dedicated veterinary care, assist in surgery, perform nursing duties, manage patient records, and support triage and hospital operations in a fast-paced emergency environment.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 based on experience and a collaborative culture of care with local autonomy and national backing across 400+

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS veterinary technician license or be eligible for licensing.
• Experience with anesthesia and emergency procedures preferred.
• Strong patient care and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by assessing animal needs and conducting examinations.
• Assist during surgical procedures and monitor anesthesia.
• Maintain medical records and manage nursing care and triage.
• Prepare and inventory supplies and ensure clean, organized work areas.
• Communicate with clients and educate about care plans.
• Operate veterinary software for documentation and scheduling.
