Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Mahopac Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team, supporting hospital operations with compassionate, high‑quality care for patients and clients. Responsibilities include patient care, exams, diagnostic procedures, assisting in surgery, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Credentialed NYS LVT or eligible to take VTNE.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, and maintaining medical records.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, administering medications and vaccines, and monitoring recovery.
• Support examinations and procedures by assembling supplies and aiding the veterinarian as directed.
• Maintain a safe, clean hospital environment and ensure proper documentation of treatments.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status and care instructions.
