PetVet Care Centers Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in West Islip, NY is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (Cardiology) to join our emergency/specialty team. The role focuses on dedicated patient care, diagnostic support, anesthesia, and high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NYS license required. Eligibility for licensing accepted.
• Anesthesia experience required.
• General knowledge of instruments and supplies.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Assist during surgery and operations, provide nursing care and care for feeding and daily needs.
• Maintain medical records and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and sterilized.
• Oversee triage and discharge of patients; monitor for emergencies and maintain aseptic technique.
