Job summary

Saguaro Dermatology in Mesa, AZ seeks a Medical Front Office Specialist to keep the clinic running smoothly and patients oriented. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate authorizations for therapies and referrals.

The role requires front office experience, familiarity with insurance processes, and EMR use (EzDerm) is a plus. Regular hours are Monday through Friday with a benefits package including health and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Medical front office or patient service experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with insurance is highly preferred.
• EMR (EzDerm) experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for new/returning/follow-up appointments and provide all necessary information to prepare them for medical appointments and procedures.
• Insurance verification with carriers and patients.
• Check patients in and ensure all paperwork and documentation is properly completed.
• Collects patient payments upon checkout working with back-office staff to ensure correct amount.
• Verifies authorizations and transmits fax information for needed physician patient information
• Organize and communicate with insurance companies for authorizations for therapies, testing and specialist referrals.
