Job summary

Raleigh Medical Group, PA in Apex, NC is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the welcoming face of our Dermatology team. You will handle patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and front office operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and HIPAA compliance, with duties spanning check-in/out, payments, and coordinating with providers and staff. This is an in-office, full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payment.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referral and authorization processes.
• Answer incoming phone calls and route inquiries appropriately.
• Complete patient check-in and checkout processes accurately and efficiently.
• Scan and maintain patient documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist patients with registration forms, patient portal access, and required documentation.
• Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, billing, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Manage office supply ordering, maintenance requests, and operational support tickets.
• Cross-train within front office functions and provide coverage as needed.
• Support departmental initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
