Job summary

Golden State Dermatology is seeking a Medical Receptionist to manage front desk operations, verify insurance, and handle appointment scheduling across Walnut Creek and Rossmoor clinics. Travel between sites 2 days/week in Rossmoor and 3 days/week in Walnut Creek is required.

You will warmly welcome patients, assist with check-in/out, maintain records, and educate patients on skincare products while supporting providers and staff in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset or patient-centered approach.
• Previous Dermatology, healthcare, or aesthetics experience.
• Knowledgeable with insurance carriers (Medicare, commercial, HMO).
• Familiar with EMR software (EClinicalWorks, EMA).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage front desk duties (check-in/out).
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility; maintain patient records.
• Handle calls and manage/ audit appointment schedules, confirmations, and intake details.
• Contact patients on waiting lists to offer earlier appointments and fill slots with open provider schedules.
• Provide skincare education and upsell skincare products.
