Job summary

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a patient‑focused dermatology and aesthetic practice in a professional, team‑oriented environment.

The successful candidate will greet patients, manage front desk functions, and support the Office Manager with daily clinic tasks while maintaining high standards of customer service and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs and insurance policies preferred.
• Type 40 wpm.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel are required.
• Must have excellent customer service and strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting.
• Greeting all patients in a professional manner.
• Handing out literature and forms to be filled out by patient; ensuring accuracy and completion.
• Copying insurance ID cards and drivers licenses and handling general front-office activities.
• Support the front office business administrators and Office Manager in various operations.
• Pulling and filing patient records; frequent telephone communications with patients for outreach and scheduling; setting up new patient charts.
