Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Clinical Assistant, Dermatology to help ensure smooth patient visits. You will handle check‑in, rooming, scribing during visits, and follow‑up coordination under the supervision of the practice manager.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of clinical experience or MA program graduate; two years in a similar setting is preferred. BLS/CPR is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program required.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred. Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing/updating patient medical records and coordinating services as per protocol.
• Assist with patient throughput: prep, escort to exam room, document vitals and updated information.
• Document patient information in EMR accurately and timely; enter orders as directed by providers.
• Support scheduling outpatient testing, refilling medications, and patient education on visit plans.
