St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support practice operations. You will assist in patient preparation, charting, and coordinating care with the healthcare team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of clinical experience OR graduation from a Medical Assistant program is required.
• Two years of experience in a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• BLS/CPR: Current or within 60 days of hire; through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Review and update the patient’s medical record prior to appointment and determine needed services with provider.
• Complete pre-charting of value-based pieces up to five days before the appointment.
• Prepare patients for examination, escort to the exam room, and record vitals and histories.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies, and handle instrument processing.
• Coordinate with providers and care team on discharge, labs and patient education.
• Dispose of bio-hazardous waste per protocol and manage supplies inventory.
