Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Practice Operations. The role focuses on pre-visit planning, patient preparation, and coordination with the care team to ensure quality patient care.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent and medical assistant program completion or 1 year of clinical experience; BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire. This position is on-site in the healthcare network.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient records and determining needed services.
• Prepare patients for examination and escort to the exam room.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies; clean and autoclave instruments as required.
• Coordinate with providers and Care Team regarding hospital discharge, ED visits, and follow-up appointments.
