Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is assisting an established Central Illinois health system in Mattoon to recruit a Dermatologist with Mohs Surgery expertise to build a brand-new Dermatology & Mohs service line from the ground up. The role offers clinical autonomy, strong system backing, and a focus on general medical dermatology, skin cancer screening, surgical excision, and Mohs procedures.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited US medical school or international equivalent.
ACGME-accredited Dermatology residency completed; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology.
Fellowship training or proficiency in Mohs Surgery preferred.
Active Illinois medical license (or eligible) and DEA/CSR licensure.

Responsibilities

Lead the operational setup and rollout of a brand-new Dermatology and Mohs Surgery service line.
Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical management for skin cancers and dermatologic conditions.
Perform Mohs surgery, histopathology interpretation, and reconstructions as capabilities are established.
Establish clinical protocols, acquire equipment, and guide clinic layout.
Develop referral networks with PCPs, surgeons, oncologists, and APPs.
Maintain patient-centered care with high quality and safety standards.
