Job summary

State Street Investment Management in Boston seeks a derivative trading support professional to work with a multi-asset trading desk. The role involves supporting derivative trading and collaborating with global Portfolio Management teams to ensure accurate, timely client orders.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of buy-side or sell-side derivative trading experience, strong market interest, and ability to optimize costs in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to Bloomberg and EMS tools.

Qualifications

• Four-year education degree or higher preferred.
• Preferred experience with Excel, Python, Java, VBA, SQL.
• Ability to utilize data and analytics to evaluate execution performance and identify trading opportunities.
• Contribute to trading technology enhancements, workflow automation, and process optimization initiatives.
• Partner with technology teams to improve trading tools, reporting, and operational resiliency.
• Tableau data-visualization experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to the derivative trading team.
• Provide coverage to the global Portfolio Management teams with primary focus on derivatives.
• Responsible for ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely execution of client orders.
• Engage and communicate effectively with executing brokers across channels.
• Ensure close cooperation with Portfolio Management, IT, Risk, Operations, Legal, Sales, Marketing and Compliance.
• Demonstrate understanding of derivatives, equities and FX.
