Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Derivative Operations Specialist, Associate 2, in the United States to post domestic and foreign derivatives and support the custody and accounting systems. • Bachelor’s degree with business related coursework or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Strong computer competence (Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Use the OTC HUB application to process derivative transactions, including trade posting, dividend accrual and payments, corporate action processing, security pricing, and derivative ledger processing.
• Reconcile transactions, both cash related and position related, to Prime Brokers and clients daily; escalate discrepancies.
• Conceptual application of complex investment strategies including CFD, Credit Default Swap, Interest Rate Swap, Basket Swap, Total Return Swap, and Options.
• Coordinate with team members and other shared services to ensure processing according to fund policies.
• Assist with research and resolution of exceptions and inquiries; maintain Prime Broker relationships as needed.
• Provide COE related information to prepare financial statements and reports for clients, shareholders, and management.
• Develop understanding of Corporate Action types and processing requirements and apply to processing environment.
• Maintain records in support of audits.
• Identify unusual or potentially suspicious activity and report per policy.
• May perform other duties as requested.
