Job summary

Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance Services, LLC is seeking a Deputy Project Manager (DPM) in the Washington, DC area to assist the Project Manager in administration, coordination, and execution of contract operations. The DPM acts as the PM's alternate and takes full responsibility in the PM's absence.

The DPM oversees daily operations, personnel management, and customer engagement to ensure contract services are delivered in alignment with the PWS and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years managing/workforce on BOS or similar large-scale operations.
• Experience in project/operations leadership within a federal contracting environment.
• Strong contract administration and performance-driven delivery knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Government point of contact when the Project Manager is unavailable.
• Maintain on-site presence during Government working hours.
• Provide leadership to contract personnel to meet PWS, schedule, and quality standards.
• Assist planning, organizing, and directing all contract operations for efficient resource use.
• Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs for compliance and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with HR, finance, logistics and other departments for smooth execution.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment aligned with policies and customer expectations.
• Support preparation of project reports and briefings for Government and corporate stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure staffing levels and continuity of operations in PM's absence.
• Promote clear communication between staff and Government to address issues.
