Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support day-to-day management of the Business Process Improvement Program in the Washington, DC area. You will coordinate Agile workstreams, deliverables, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, risk management, and performance tracking across multiple initiatives.

You will act as an alternate Project Manager, ensuring successful delivery, governance, and executive communications for complex, multi-workstream programs within a federal-style

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum seven years of experience in IT.
• Five years of project management experience.
• Experience supporting business process improvement or modernization projects.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
• Experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be US citizen.
• Work from client office in Washington, DC and Guidehouse office in Tyson's Corner, VA.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource assignments.
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs, staffing plans, and action trackers.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and sprint planning sessions.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across workstreams.
• Monitor project performance, risks, dependencies, and issues.
• Develop executive status reports and briefing materials.
• Track contract deliverables and support quality assurance reviews.
• Coordinate communications among business and technical teams.
• Support governance meetings and leadership briefings.
