Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Project Leader for its Security and Electronic Systems unit. You will oversee day-to-day project operations, including planning, cost control, and coordination across stakeholders on federal, local, and commercial security installations.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in electrical/construction, CPM scheduling proficiency, and strong interpersonal and writing skills. Up to 30% travel may be required as projects span multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE or related field with 5–7 years of experience.
• Construction experience with electrical contractor.
• Projects ranging from $500k–$10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• CPM Scheduling experience.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Identify change orders and ensure resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses.
• Maintain as‑builts and document project issues/conditions.
• Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and design professionals.
