Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation seeks an Alternate Program Manager (APM) to cover PM duties in the PM's absence on large government programs. The APM will assume PM authority and manage performance, task orders, and quality control in a digital environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with government policies, military personnel automation systems, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter with strong analytical and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, business administration/management, workforce development, or related field, with 3–5 years in education and training.
• Or a master's degree with at least 4 years in training, administration and PM in customer-related services.
• Experience managing large-scale government projects.
• Familiarity with government policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of military personnel automation systems.
• Ability to work in a digital environment.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the performance of the PM's tasks in the PM's absence.
• Act for the contractor when the designated program manager is absent.
• Exercise all the authority of the PM during the PM's absence (e.g., leave, medical).
• Be responsible for the performance of the work, task order compliance, and quality control.
• Plan and execute all activities related to the contract.
• Ensure all personnel assigned to a task meet government qualification standards and receive necessary training.
• Review all deliverables before they are submitted for acceptance.
• Manage contractor personnel and operations.
